The newcomer, with a hint of amusement in his voice, revealed the reason behind his belated arrival. "Don't ask," he chuckled, "the wife bought the season ticket back last summer and kept it for a surprise Christmas present."

While this gesture was undoubtedly thoughtful, it also highlighted the importance of timing. By holding onto the gift until Christmas, the husband missed out on half of the season, raising the question of whether it would have been more prudent to give him the ticket earlier.
